Day 01 :

Daily Itinerary

Nairobi – Tsavo East National Park Safari (320km - Approx. 5 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

06:00 hrs: Your driver/guide will pick you up from your Nairobi area hotel, Nairobi airport, or Nairobi area residence, and we’ll head out in our 4x4 safari jeep for Tsavo East National Park. We’ll take the Nairobi/Mombasa highway, stopping to stretch and get refreshments along the way.

Upon entering Tsavo East, you’ll immediately appreciate the vast stretches of land and sky before you. It’s time to set out on our first exhilarating game drive!

This is a rugged park with a distinctive rusty-colored soil that the magnificent elephants love to roll in. They may even entertain you by marching proudly by, adorned with their unique red-dusted coats.

We’ll then head to our accommodation for lunch and perhaps some relaxing time. Afterwards, it’s back into the 4x4 for more tracking of wildlife such as giraffe, impala, and of course, the majestic lion.

As a final flourish to our first safari day, we’ll be treated to the first of several blazing African sunsets – a truly spectacular sight.

Tonight, we’ll stay in Tsavo East, at your choice of safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 02 :

Tsavo East – Tsavo West National Park Safari

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Welcome to safari life, where we rise before the sun to watch the park come alive and head out on our first game drive. The park is peaceful at this time of day, and we’ll be listening and looking for the first signs of emerging wildlife.

We’ll enjoy breakfast at our accommodation and take one more game drive as we depart Tsavo East for Tsavo West National Park.

This next park is pleasing to the eye with its scenic hills and valleys, verdant oases, and natural surprises like ancient baobab trees.

There’s plenty of the big game here, including majestic lion and rhino. We’ll proceed to the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, which harbors over 80 of these fascinating creatures, offering a vital conservation success story.

We’ll spend our second safari night at Tsavo West, at your choice of safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 03 :

Tsavo West – Amboseli National Park Safari (100kms Approx. 2 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We’ll be up with the birdsong, ready for the magnificent sights the natural world will bring us in this new dawning day.

An early game drive brings us into the first rays of sunlight as it illuminates the savannah and the park’s awakening inhabitants.

Let’s head over to one of Tsavo West’s true treasures, Mzima Springs, a rich, green oasis. In this lush setting, we’ll find hippo, crocodile, exotic fish, and a vibrant array of birds. We can enjoy a walk here, under the palm-fringed shores, and take in the park’s other wildlife, which is often attracted to these life-giving waters.

Now, it’s time to take the relatively short trip to Amboseli National Park.

Just look for the sky-scraping peak of Mount Kilimanjaro as our beacon to the park – its presence is truly commanding.

We’ll enjoy a relaxing lunch and perhaps some free time at our accommodation before heading out to discover the wilds of Amboseli on an afternoon game drive.

There is a rich assortment of game to discover on these plains, and we’ll be actively looking for all of Africa’s Big Five. With Kilimanjaro posing majestically in the background, you’ll be tempted to take lots of photos, and why not? This is what it’s all about!

Toward evening, you may even get better views of the great mountain’s snow-encrusted peak as the cloud covering often burns away, revealing one of the world’s most enchanting sights.

We’ll spend the first of two nights at Amboseli, at your safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 04 :

Full Day Amboseli National Park: Elephant Herds & Cultural Encounters

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We have prepared a full day of exhilarating game drives at Amboseli to see the impressive big game, especially the magnificent elephants.

The park is famous for being the best spot in Africa to observe these great herds as they march family-style to their favorite watering holes. See how many you can count!

Observation Hill provides a wonderful vantage point to observe the abundant wildlife in the marshes below, including buffalo, hippo, pelican, and various other waterfowl.

Along with your many game drives, you can take advantage of an optional visit we offer to a nearby Maasai Village. Meet the tribespeople and learn about their fascinating lifestyle up close. Your driver/guide can make all the arrangements for this enriching cultural experience.

We’ll spend your final night at Amboseli, at your safari lodge or tented camp, reflecting on the day's incredible sightings.

Day 05 :

Amboseli – Nairobi: Safari Grand Finale & Departure (240kms: Approx. 4 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch

Let’s finish our safari with a bang! We'll be up before dawn and out on the savannah in our 4x4, searching for more wild game to add to our list, our photos, and our cherished memories. Is there anything better than a safari?

As we enjoy our breakfast surrounded by the beauty of nature, be sure to check out Mount Kilimanjaro to see if you can spot its snowy peak.

We’ll hop in the jeep for one final game drive and bid farewell to this wonderful park as we turn and head back to Nairobi.

We should arrive there at about 16:30 hrs (4:30 PM). We’ll comfortably bring you to your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO).
