Day 01 :

Daily Itinerary

Nairobi – Tsavo East National Park Safari

Distance: 320 km (Approximately 5 hours drive) Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Your adventure begins promptly at 06:00 hrs with a convenient pick-up by your driver/guide from your Nairobi hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO). We’ll set off in our comfortable 4x4 safari jeep for Tsavo East National Park, traveling along the historic Nairobi-Mombasa Highway, also known as the early explorer’s route.

We will dedicate our first day in Tsavo East to exciting game drives, exploring vast stretches of grassland and savannah. Here, we'll seek out both large and small wildlife, from powerful hunters to graceful grazers. The park is home to major predators, but you'll also delight in spotting unique species like the graceful gerenuk, impala, and the distinctive Masai giraffe.

Tsavo East's relatively light foliage makes game spotting easier, while hundreds of vibrant bird species add a bright mix of color and variety to the landscape. Keep an eye out for the elegant crowned crane, charming lovebirds, and the sacred ibis.

A special highlight of this park are the famous red-dust elephants. The soil here is rich in reddish iron oxide, which the elephants love to roll in, giving themselves a unique and unforgettable red coating that you won't miss.

Day 02 :

Tsavo East – Amboseli National Park Safari: (300km – Approx. 6 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We love to rise early on safari, embracing the beauty of the dawning day and watching as nature awakens and the wildlife emerges.

Following this early morning game drive in Tsavo East National Park, we’ll enjoy a hearty safari breakfast at our accommodation. Then, we'll embark on one last game drive in Tsavo East before departing for the majestic landscapes of Amboseli National Park, dominated by the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro.

As we journey towards Amboseli, you'll be able to trace our route by the ever-looming appearance of the great mountain, standing over the park like a constant guardian. Under its watchful gaze, a wonderful collection of free-ranging elephants fills the reserve.

Be sure to also look for Amboseli's smaller treasures, including foxes, monkeys, and baboons. And at its marshes and lakes, you'll see a delightful assortment of vibrant birdlife, such as pelicans, kingfishers, egrets, and herons.

Come evening, the cloud cover that sometimes obscures Kilimanjaro's snow-capped summit often dissipates, revealing one of Africa's most dazzling and unforgettable sights.

Day 03 :

Amboseli – Nairobi: Departure Day (250 km: Approx. 4 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch

Once again, we’ll hop into our 4x4 safari jeep for an early morning game drive, ready to witness Amboseli’s abundant wildlife as the new day dawns. The early morning light often provides breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, a truly spectacular send-off.

We’ll then enjoy a delicious breakfast at our accommodation. We won't linger, as an exciting extra mid-morning game drive through the park awaits! We'll use this opportunity to search for any species we haven't yet spotted, adding them to your safari checklist as we complete our adventure in Amboseli.

After a final break for lunch, we'll begin our comfortable journey back to Nairobi. We anticipate arriving back in the city in the late afternoon, around 16:30 hrs (4:30 PM).

Upon arrival, we’ll ensure a smooth drop-off at your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO).
