Day 01 :

Daily Itinerary

Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park Safari

Distance: 160 km (Approximately 3 hours) Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner

Your safari adventure begins promptly at 07:30 hrs with a convenient pick-up by your driver/guide from your Nairobi hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO). We’ll set off in our private 4x4 safari jeep towards Lake Nakuru National Park, taking comfortable rest stops along the way to stretch and appreciate the breathtaking panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley.

Lake Nakuru is celebrated for its dazzling birdlife and stunning scenic beauty. This bountiful spot is home to a variety of avian species including storks, herons, and eagles, and boasts one of Kenya’s largest populations of the critically endangered black rhino.

We’ll enjoy exhilarating game and birdwatching drives around the picturesque lake, through lush acacia forests, and over verdant woodlands. Keep an eye out for major predators like lion, leopard, and cheetah, as well as smaller forest inhabitants such as hyena, waterbuck, olive baboon, and the distinctive colobus monkey.

Please note that while natural factors like increasing water levels have led to a reduction in flamingo numbers, the park itself remains stunning – truly one of Kenya’s finest. Day 02 :

Lake Nakuru – Lake Bogoria & Lake Baringo Safari

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Lake Nakuru National Park is the perfect spot for a sunrise safari, as the abundant birdlife emerges into the new day. We’ll witness the first rays of light touch the lake, bringing with them the early stirrings of the wildlife.

Then, we'll embark on a scenic journey in our 4x4 safari jeep through the magnificent Great Rift Valley to the nearby Lakes Bogoria and Baringo.

Lake Bogoria is set within a volcanic region, giving rise to its fascinating natural geysers and hot springs located along the lake's shores. However, the single greatest spectacle of this reserve is the breathtaking sight of vast flocks of bright, colorful flamingos adorning its edges.

Neighboring Lake Baringo is a true bird haven. Enjoy a captivating sailing safari across the lake, where the birdwatching is truly unsurpassed. You'll be on the lookout for unique species like nightjars, Goliath herons, and various hornbills, among its over 400 species of avian life.

You can also opt to visit the local Njemps Community Village for a fascinating cultural experience (at an additional cost of $40 per person).

Your second night will be spent either at Lake Bogoria or Lake Baringo, depending on your choice of safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 03 :

Lake Baringo – Lake Naivasha – Nairobi: Safari Finale & Departure

We have an exciting and busy day ahead, so we’ll depart early from Lake Baringo for Lake Naivasha.

The Lake Naivasha area is a picturesque landscape adorned with lush forests, ancient extinct volcanoes, stunning waterfalls, and dramatic gorges. This high-altitude, freshwater lake is teeming with wildlife, including resident hippos and a rich variety of aquatic life and bird species. Beyond the lake, you'll also encounter land mammals such as buffalo, impala, and waterbuck, often seen grazing along the lake’s shores.

We’ll enjoy lunch here, followed by a delightful sailing safari across the lake, offering close-up views of the resident hippos.

Next, we’ll embark on a special trip to the nearby Crescent Island Game Sanctuary. This beautiful private reserve is home to an abundance of animals, predominantly gentle grazers. The Sanctuary’s naturalist will lead us on a captivating guided walking safari, allowing you to get remarkably close to herds of wildebeest, waterbuck, zebra, gazelle, and more.

After these memorable experiences, it’s time for a comfortable drive back to Nairobi. Over the past 3 days, you’ve explored magnificent lakes, encountered a diverse array of wildlife, and witnessed probably thousands of birds, including the always dazzling flamingoes.

We anticipate arriving back in Nairobi in the early evening, where we will ensure a smooth drop-off at your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO).
