Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve (Flight: 90 Minutes)

Your Natural World Kenya Safaris adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. You'll be transferred to Wilson Airport for your 8:30 AM flight, offering stunning aerial views of Kenya’s central highlands, including the snow-capped peak of Mt. Kenya.

Upon arrival near Samburu, your personal safari guide will welcome you in a private open-sided 4x4 Land Cruiser Jeep for the short transfer to your lodge. After settling in, embark on your first exhilarating game drive.

Samburu is known for its rugged, semi-arid landscape and remote tranquility. The Ewaso Nyiro River draws abundant wildlife, particularly elephants, making for excellent afternoon game viewing. As the day winds down, return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Full-Day Safari in Samburu National Reserve

Begin your day early to capture the golden morning light and watch the Samburu wilderness come alive. This full day is yours to enjoy – whether you prefer multiple game drives or some leisure time at your lodge, your guide will tailor the experience to your preferences.

As we traverse the park’s rugged terrain, keep an eye out for iconic wildlife like elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, and zebras. Samburu is also home to unique northern species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk – often called the Samburu Special Five.

You may also choose to visit the neighboring reserves of Shaba and Buffalo Springs, where the landscape softens into lush woodlands and grasslands, offering excellent game-viewing opportunities.

As the sun sets over the arid plains, return to your accommodation for dinner and a well-earned rest.

Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy (Approx. 3-Hour Drive)

We’ll rise early for one last game drive in Samburu, soaking in the morning calm and searching for any wildlife we may have missed.

After breakfast, we’ll set off on a scenic drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, nestled on the plains near the foothills of Mt. Kenya. As we ascend to this cooler region, the landscape shifts to open grasslands and acacia woodlands.

Ol Pejeta is one of Kenya’s most diverse conservancies, home to all the Big Five and rare species like the African wild dog. But what makes it truly exceptional are its two important sanctuaries.

We’ll visit Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where rescued and orphaned chimps live in a protected, natural environment. Then we’ll head to the Rhino Sanctuary, one of the largest in East Africa, sheltering over 100 black and white rhinos, including the last two northern white rhinos on the planet.

This special park offers a chance to engage in activities rarely permitted in national parks, like night game drives or even cycling safaris (optional).

We’ll spend the night at our Ol Pejeta accommodation, surrounded by the calls of the African wild.

Full-Day Safari at Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Today is yours to explore the rich offerings of Ol Pejeta at your own pace. You may choose to enjoy classic game drives, relax at your lodge, or try something different like a cycling safari across the open plains.

While on game drives, we’ll scan the terrain for a variety of wildlife—lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, impalas, hyenas, jackals, baboons, and more. Your guide will help tailor the day based on your interests and what animals we’ve yet to encounter.

Unlike in national parks, Ol Pejeta offers exclusive experiences—like thrilling night safaris, where we’ll track elusive nocturnal animals under a canopy of stars (optional and weather-dependent).

As the day winds down, we’ll return to our lodge or tented camp for dinner and an evening of stories and relaxation.

Ol Pejeta – Masai Mara (1-Hour Scenic Flight)

After an early breakfast and possibly a final morning game drive, we’ll make our way to the airstrip for a 10:30 am flight to the legendary Masai Mara.

Soaring above Kenya, you’ll get a bird’s-eye view of the vast plains and, eventually, the rich tapestry of the Mara’s acacia-dotted landscape.

Upon landing, your new Natural World Kenya Safaris guide will greet you with a private 4 x 4 Land Cruiser. Our adventure in this wildlife-rich paradise begins immediately.

The Masai Mara is renowned for its dense populations of game. We’ll be on the lookout for all the Big Five, along with cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and a sweeping variety of plains wildlife.

We’ll settle into our Mara lodge or tented camp for dinner and rest – with the sounds of the savannah easing us into the night.

Full Day at Masai Mara

Rise early to witness the Masai Mara awaken in the soft morning light. Today is yours to explore the park in full—its sweeping savannahs and legendary wildlife.

Your driver/guide will help you map out the best routes for sightings, including a must-visit to the Mara River—the heart of the Great Migration (June–October). Here, you may witness thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle braving crocodile-filled waters, with big cats waiting in ambush nearby. It’s nature in its rawest form, an unforgettable scene of survival and instinct.

For an elevated perspective, consider an optional early morning hot air balloon safari. Soaring above the plains as the sun rises, you’ll see vast herds below—a serene yet dramatic view of the day’s beginning in the wild.

You can also opt for a cultural visit to a nearby Maasai village. Learn firsthand about this proud people’s traditions, daily life, and watch their vibrant dance ceremonies.

As the sun dips low, we’ll return to your camp or lodge—tales of the Mara’s wonders fresh in mind, and the sky glowing with another stunning African sunset.

Masai Mara – Amboseli (1-Hour Flight)

Let’s make the most of our final morning in the Masai Mara with one more game drive—perhaps a visit back to the Mara River or any favorite spots from your previous days. After soaking in the last views of this legendary reserve, we’ll return for lunch at our lodge or tented camp.

By early afternoon, we’ll pack up and transfer to the airstrip for our 2:00 pm flight to Amboseli National Park. The scenic one-hour flight will offer a new perspective on Kenya’s changing landscapes—and, if skies are clear, a majestic aerial view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain.

Upon landing, your third Natural World Kenya Safaris driver/guide will be waiting with a 4 x 4 Land Cruiser, ready to take you into this iconic park.

Depending on our arrival time, we’ll enjoy a late afternoon game drive. Amboseli is famed for its stunning views of Kilimanjaro and large herds of free-roaming elephants, often framed dramatically against the mountain backdrop.

As the sun sets, we’ll head to your Amboseli accommodation for dinner, keeping an eye on the clouds—if they lift, Kilimanjaro’s snowy peak may offer us an unforgettable postcard moment.

Full-Day at Amboseli

After over a week on safari, early mornings now feel natural—and today’s sunrise over Mt. Kilimanjaro will make the early wake-up truly worthwhile. Enjoy breakfast with a view as the mountain glows in the soft morning light.

Today is all yours—plan it your way with your guide. Head out on game drives through Amboseli’s open plains and swamplands, home to lions, giraffes, zebras, baboons, hippos, and the park’s famously photogenic elephants.

We’ll also make a climb up Observation Hill, where you can stretch your legs and take in panoramic views of the landscape below. From this vantage point, watch elephant families moving across the plains and waterbirds like pelicans and Egyptian geese thriving in the marshes.

As the afternoon gives way to evening, we’ll return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner, reflection, and a restful final night on safari.

Amboseli – Nairobi (45-Minute Flight)

On this final day of your safari, rise early to savor one last game drive and perhaps a farewell glimpse of Mt. Kilimanjaro from the ground. After breakfast, we’ll make our way to the nearby airstrip for our 8:15 am flight back to Nairobi.

As we say goodbye to Amboseli and your guide, board the plane for a scenic 45-minute flight to Wilson Airport. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Africa’s plains and forests below as you fly toward Nairobi, landing around 9:00 am.

Upon arrival, a driver will be waiting to escort you back to your hotel, residence, or the international airport.
