What to Expect on This 6-Day Safari
Day 1: Diani Beach – Tsavo East National Park
Depart from your Diani Beach resort for the scenic drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway, with refreshment stops en route. Arrive at Tsavo East National Park in time for an afternoon game drive. Expect to encounter vast herds of lions, elephants, zebras, and a dazzling variety of birdlife including ostriches, herons, and buzzards. Overnight at your chosen lodge or tented camp inside the park.

Day 2: Tsavo East – Amboseli National Park
Wake up early to catch the wildlife at their most active as you head south to Amboseli. Arriving around midday, enjoy spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro and observe the park’s famous elephant herds. The afternoon is reserved for game drives in this unique park known for its stunning scenery and wildlife. Overnight at your Amboseli lodge or tented camp.

Day 3: Amboseli – Lake Nakuru National Park
Travel through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley, with optional stops at Lakes Naivasha and Elmenteita along the way. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its rocky cliffs, acacia forests, and shimmering lake dotted with pelicans and, during season, vibrant pink flamingos. The park also shelters black and white rhinos, lions, and leopards. Overnight at your lodge or camp near the lake.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy an early morning game drive around Lake Nakuru before heading to the iconic Masai Mara. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive through the rolling grasslands and acacia-studded plains, home to vast herds of zebra and wildebeest, as well as abundant predators. Overnight in the Mara at your chosen accommodation.

Day 5: Full Day in the Masai Mara
Spend a full day exploring the Mara’s abundant wildlife, including the “Big Five,” cheetahs, Thompson’s gazelles, giraffes, and more. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the Mara River, where hippos and crocodiles abound. During the Great Migration (July – October), witness one of nature’s greatest spectacles as thousands of animals cross the river. Optional activities include visits to a Maasai village or a breathtaking hot air balloon safari (arranged on request). Overnight in the Mara.

Day 6: Masai Mara – Nairobi – Diani Beach
Begin the day with a final early morning game drive, capturing the Mara’s beauty at sunrise. Afterwards, transfer to Nairobi for your flight back to the coast. Enjoy aerial views of Kenya’s stunning landscapes as you fly back to your Diani Beach resort, arriving with memories to last a lifetime.
