Located two miles from the entrance to the Tarangire National Park, the Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp lies within a landscape of incredible wildlife and overlooks the winding Tarangire River. Safaris are incredible here and guests have the option of taking it all in from the comfort of the facilities at the main Camp area. There is an inviting infinity swimming pool with the opportunity to gaze out over the Tarangire River and enjoy a beverage of choice from the bar.
There is a comfortable lounge and elegant dining room set beneath a thatch roof, the option available for guests to dine on the deck. There is a campfire located on the deck, overlooking the vast landscape, the ideal spot for guests to gather after dinner and discuss their day on safari or cultural adventure. There is a gift shop where guests can wander through, browsing for the ideal gift. Activities include game drives bush walks, and a cultural experience with a nearby community.
Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp is located next to Tanzania’s Tarangire National Park, with a flight from Arusha to the Kuro Airstrip taking approximately 20 minutes. Guests will then be met and transferred to the lodge, a journey of around 26 miles. If guests want to drive from Arusha, the journey will take them around three hours.
There are 20 Luxury Safari Tents set on raised platforms, all boasting a private verandah overlooking the Tarangire River. There are 14 Standard Suites all approximately 590 sq feet in size and offering either a double bed or two single beds for a twin-room stay. There is one Luxury Suite or Honeymoon Suite which is 655 sq feet in size and boasts a king-size bed. There are five Family Suites all 740 sq feet in size with the capability to sleep three, four, or five guests. A king-size bed and single beds can be set up according to the number of guests staying in the Family Suite. The rooms are all decorated in a mix of neutral tones and colorful splashes shown in pillows, runners on the beds, and African art decor and touches throughout. All beds are covered with a mosquito net and the tents include a small writing desk and chair, a sitting area, a fan, and a tea/coffee-making station. Guests have access to Wifi and room service during their stay. Bathrooms are all en-suite and include a toilet, vanity, and shower plus bathroom amenities for guests to use during their stay.
