Located on land that overlooks the vast landscape of the Great Rift Valley, the Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge offers a stay that has guests captivated from the moment they walk into the reception area. Views are spectacular over Lake Manyara and out to Mt Meru, and it is said one can see Mt. Kilimanjaro in the distance on a clear day.
The lodge has tall reeded roofs that house a comfortable lounge area with a small library, with the Nyati Bar serving refreshing beverages throughout the day. The Acacia Restaurant is subtly elegant with white tablecloths that compliment the classic African art and decor. The Lodge has a rim-flow swimming pool that has wonderful views over the Valley and guests have the chance to indulge in a spa treatment or to get a workout in at the gym on site.
Younger guests can spend time in the children’s playroom and for guests needing to work while away, there is a business center and meeting rooms available at the Lodge. A game of billiards or browsing the boutique shop is just two more facilities on site.
The Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge is located in Mto Wa Mbu near Tanzania’s Manyara Region and overlooks the Great Rift Valley. Guests can fly into the Lake Manyara Airstrip from Arusha which is a 30-minute flight or from Kilimanjaro Airport which will take approximately 40 minutes. The Lodge is located seven miles from the Lake Manyara Airstrip and around 70 miles from Arusha itself, a drive of around two and a half hours.
There are 50 Deluxe Rooms and a Two-Bedroom Villa at Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge. The Deluxe Rooms are 380 sq feet in size with a large double bed and offer a view over the gardens or vast landscape from a private verandah. The Presidential Suite or Villa is around 2370 sq feet in size and has an extra large double bed in one room with two single beds in the other room. There is an en-suite bathroom off the main bedroom and a second bathroom for guests in the other room to use. The suite has a dining area and lounge and a view of Lake Manyara from the private verandah. Every room has a writing desk and chair, a fireplace, a small refrigerator, and air conditioning. There is a standing fan, tea/coffee-making facilities, WiFi for guests to use as well as a safe to store valuables. The bathrooms are en-suite with a toilet, vanity, a bathtub as well as an indoor and outdoor shower. There are bathroom amenities for guests to use during their stay. There is a small sitting area in the tent, and a small writing desk and chair. Bright, glass-covered lights hang from the ceiling near the beds and a neutral-colored rug covers the wooden floor. There is a tea/coffee-making station, a space to hang clothing, and a safe for guests to store their valuables. Bathrooms are all en-suite with a double vanity, toilet, and shower, plus the use of refreshing bathroom amenities.
