Your Uganda’s Safari Starts Here

Uganda’s Crown Jewel of Nature and Wildlife

Welcome to Murchison Falls National Park—Uganda’s wild heart and largest protected area. This spectacular landscape offers a rare combination of explosive natural drama and diverse ecosystems, from roaring waterfalls to savannahs buzzing with big game.

At its core lies Murchison Falls, where the Victoria Nile squeezes through a 6-meter gorge and plunges 43 meters into the “Devil’s Cauldron.” The sheer force creates clouds of mist, thunderous sound, and frequent rainbows—a true natural spectacle. This very scene once captivated Hollywood and featured in The African Queen.

But Murchison’s magic doesn’t end with the falls. The park spans 3,893 km² of rolling grasslands, woodlands, and riverine forests, supporting over 73 animal species, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, and three-quarters of the world’s Rothschild’s giraffes. Along the Nile, you’ll spot hippos, Nile crocodiles, and dozens of bird species such as the rare shoebill stork and the vibrant malachite kingfisher.

Just to the south, Budongo Forest Reserve is a world of its own—home to wild chimpanzees and towering mahogany trees. And while rhinos are missing from the park, the nearby Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary provides an up-close experience with the endangered southern white rhino.
