Starts Nairobi / Ends Nairobi – Whether you’re arriving at the international airport, staying at a hotel, or relaxing at a private residence, we’ll pick you up and transfer you to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport for your morning flight to Samburu.

If your time in Kenya is limited—or you simply prefer the convenience and comfort of flying—this 3-Day Samburu Air Safari is the perfect way to experience the beauty and wildlife of northern Kenya without the long overland drive. In just under an hour, you’ll bypass 7+ hours of road travel and soar directly into adventure.
We’ll take care of everything: roundtrip flights, transfers, accommodation, meals, and unlimited game drives.
Welcome to Samburu
Samburu National Reserve is one of Kenya’s most captivating parks, located in the country’s remote and rugged north. Its dramatic landscapes are defined by arid plains, volcanic rock outcroppings, and the life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River. This vital water source draws a rich variety of wildlife to its banks.
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your Natural World Kenya Safaris guide and whisked away in your private, pop-top 4×4 Land Cruiser Jeep. Settle into the lodge or tented camp of your choice, then head out on your first thrilling game drive.
Samburu is famous for hosting rare and northern-specialized species such as the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, gerenuk, and dik-dik. These “Samburu Special Five” are found in few other places in Africa. Alongside them, expect to see predators like lion, leopard, and cheetah, as well as large mammals such as elephant, hippo, and Cape buffalo.
Morning and Evening Spectacles
Watching elephants descend to the river in the soft morning light is a highlight, while evening brings the serene sight of their return journey into the hills. The park is also home to baboons, warthogs, gazelles, impalas, waterbucks, and countless bird species—from eagles and hornbills to guineafowl and vultures.
More to Explore
Your adventure also includes visits to Shaba and Buffalo Springs Reserves, adjacent parks that offer slightly greener scenery and a different mix of wildlife. Keep an eye out for jackals, aardvarks, hyenas, foxes, and the distinctive Somali ostrich. The riverbanks often host hippos and crocodiles, providing excellent photo opportunities.
