Diani to Amboseli (1½ Hour Flight)

Get ready to take to the skies! Your Natural World Kenya Safaris driver will pick you up from your hotel or resort and transfer you to nearby Diani Airport for your 7:30 AM flight to Amboseli National Park.

As you soar above the coastline, watch the early morning light dance over the turquoise waters before the landscape shifts to Kenya’s rolling fields and lush forests below. Keep an eye out for the majestic silhouette of Mt. Kilimanjaro, with its snow-capped summit possibly peeking through the clouds.

Upon landing at the Amboseli airstrip, your driver/guide will be waiting to welcome you. Step into your private open-sided Land Cruiser Jeep, and enjoy a short scenic drive into the heart of the park — your adventure begins here.

Amboseli’s compact size means wildlife is abundant and easier to find, giving you excellent chances to see the impressive herds of big-tusked elephants roaming freely.

You’ll also be on the lookout for lions, leopards, buffalo, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and hippos in the marshy areas.

During your safari, you’re free to enjoy as many game drives as you like or take time to relax at your lodge — just chat with your driver/guide to tailor your perfect African adventure.

As evening approaches, we’ll return to your Amboseli safari lodge or tented camp to unwind, share stories from the day’s adventures, and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Full Day at Amboseli

Safari life begins early, as the peaceful dawn light gradually awakens the fields, hills, and marshes of Amboseli National Park.

Beneath the towering presence of Mt. Kilimanjaro, we’ll set out in search of the park’s iconic big game — from majestic elephants to elusive lions — as well as charming smaller wildlife like warthogs and ostriches.

Amboseli is also renowned for its vibrant birdlife, especially around the marshes where you can spot graceful pelicans and Egyptian geese.

A highlight of the day will be a visit to Observation Hill, where you’ll step out of the Jeep to stretch and take in breathtaking panoramic views of the park. Watch elephants as they make their way to favorite waterholes, and enjoy the lively activity of birds below — all framed by the magnificent backdrop of Kilimanjaro.

As the sun begins to set, we’ll make our way back to your Amboseli accommodation to enjoy a relaxing evening and a delicious dinner.

Amboseli to Masai Mara (One-Hour Flight)

By now, you may have discovered some favorite spots in Amboseli that you’d like to revisit. There’s plenty of time in the morning to enjoy the park before we prepare for our afternoon flight to the Masai Mara.

After a leisurely lunch, we’ll pack up and head to the airstrip. Saying goodbye to your Amboseli guide, you’ll take to the skies at 2:00 PM for the scenic one-hour flight to the Masai Mara.

Upon landing at a convenient airstrip on the edge of this magnificent reserve, your new Natural World Kenya Safaris driver/guide will be waiting with another open-sided 4×4 Land Cruiser Jeep.

It’s a short, easy drive to your accommodation where you can settle in before heading out for an exciting afternoon game drive.

The Masai Mara is vast and boasts the richest ecosystem in the region, home to over 95 species of mammals and hundreds of bird species. Here, you’ll find abundant wildlife — from large predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards to jackals, hyenas, rhinos, elephants, and a variety of antelope.

Get ready for incredible sightings and unforgettable moments as we explore this spectacular reserve.

As the day wanes, we’ll return to your safari lodge or tented camp to enjoy dinner and a peaceful evening of relaxation.

Full Day at the Masai Mara

Just like in Amboseli, you have the freedom to enjoy as many game drives as you wish throughout the day. Together with your driver/guide, you can tailor your safari to focus on areas where specific wildlife species are most likely to be found.

No visit to the Mara is complete without a trip to the iconic Mara River — the legendary crossing point of the Great Migration. From July to October, vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and more flood the reserve in a breathtaking display of nature’s drama.

Awaiting them are the park’s many predators: crocodiles lurking in the river, and lions, cheetahs, leopards, and others stalking the herds. To witness this spectacle from above, consider our optional early morning hot air balloon safari. As dawn breaks, you’ll soar over the park, watching the wildlife come alive in a way few ever experience.

Another enriching option is a visit to a local Maasai village. Here, you’ll meet the villagers, learn about their pastoral way of life, and gain insight into a unique cultural heritage deeply connected to the land.

As the day winds down, we’ll seek out one of the Mara’s iconic sunsets — a breathtaking blaze of orange and gold — before returning to your safari lodge or tented camp for a memorable final dinner under the African sky.

Masai Mara to Diani Beach (2½ Hour Flight)

On our final day of safari, we’ll start early with a refreshing game drive, followed by a hearty breakfast at your accommodation.

There’s time for one more game drive before lunch — whether revisiting your favorite spots or exploring new areas, the Mara always offers fresh sightings and stunning views.

After lunch, we’ll soak in the park’s beauty one last time before making our way to the airstrip for our flight back to Diani Beach.

We’ll say farewell to your Masai Mara guide before boarding the 2:00 PM flight back to Diani Beach.

In just two and a half hours, you’ll land at Diani Airport, where a Natural World Kenya Safaris driver will be ready to transfer you back to your hotel or resort.
