Amboseli National Park: The Land of Giants & Kilimanjaro: Everyone into the Land Cruiser as we start our tour at Amboseli National Park. On the way to the park and while there, you’ll be watched over by famous Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. There are so many elephants at Amboseli you’re guaranteed a sighting. Also, be on the lookout for lion, cheetah, zebra, and more.

Lake Naivasha & Crescent Island: Water, Walking & Cycling Safaris: Then it’s on to the Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha, home to hippos, abundant birdlife, and a beautiful blue lake. You’ll enjoy an afternoon boat safari viewing the wildlife around the lake including nearby giraffe and zebra over on the shore. But there’s still more viewing pleasures on this busy day – enjoy a guided walking tour at nearby Crescent Island where you’ll stroll past impala, giraffe, zebra, and many species of birds. Hell’s Gate National Park is nearby, and we’ll bicycle over to view zebra, giraffe, buffalo, and smaller game amidst its dramatic volcanic landscapes.

Lake Nakuru National Park: Rhinos, Birds & Scenic Beauty: Lake Nakuru National Park: Due to some progressive natural factors like increasing water levels, the flamingo numbers have been reducing, but the park itself remains stunning – one of Kenya’s finest. Great rocky escarpments tower over acacia forest, waterfalls, wooded hills, and euphorbia trees dot the lake.

The current quantity of flamingos is accompanied by other abundant birdlife – pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks, as well as herons and eagles. The scene here is bountiful, busy, and full of color.

But that’s only the beginning of what this special park has to offer, because the wildlife viewing here is easy and accessible. Lake Nakuru is known for hosting some endangered but beautiful species. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s Giraffe along with white rhino, especially along the lakeshore. The park is also a vital sanctuary to one of Kenya’s largest populations of black rhino. So get your camera ready!

Optional: Lake Bogoria for Flamingos: If your group desires to see even more great flocks of these gorgeous pink flamingos gathered along a Rift Valley lake, we can visit Lake Bogoria National Reserve instead. It is not uncommon to see thousands, and sometimes millions, of vibrant flamingos painting the shoreline in an overwhelming display of color.

Masai Mara National Reserve: The Grand Finale: We’ve saved perhaps the best for last. Your next and final destination is the Masai Mara. Get ready to view the Big Five here and much more. The Mara is the richest and most diverse eco-system in the region. Over the course of 3 days and 2 nights, you’ll experience a vast, beautiful savannah and its many wildlife inhabitants.

If you wish, for an optional fee, visit a Maasai village or take a Hot Air Balloon ride over the great reserve, viewing the vast herds below. The Mara is a place where memories are made and then brought home to be shared. It’s the perfect place to wind up your holiday safari adventure.

Day 01 :

Daily Itinerary

Nairobi – Amboseli National Park (240 km: Approx. 4 hrs drive)

Meal plan: Lunch, Dinner.

07:30 hrs: Pick up from your Nairobi airport / Nairobi hotel.

Depart for the Kenya safari tour. The morning drive shall take us via the Nairobi-Mombasa highway. The scenic drive is via open Africa with expansive savannah plains dotted with local homesteads and colorful Maasai tribesmen and their cattle.

You arrive at the Amboseli National Park in time for a welcome shower, refreshments, and lunch.

An afternoon game viewing drive is scheduled when animals are at their most active. Weather permitting, the Mount Kilimanjaro snow-capped peaks shall be visible during the afternoon game viewing drive.

Overnight at your chosen Amboseli safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 02 :

Full Day – Amboseli National Park: Wildlife & Relaxation

Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

This will be a full day of game viewing drives, providing plenty of time to soak up the incredible wildlife and the magnificent scenery. We've also allowed time for relaxation, ensuring a comfortable pace.

There will be an early morning game drive, offering a chance to see the park come alive in the soft morning light. This will be followed by a mid-morning drive, allowing for more exploration. After a comfortable lunch, we’ll set out on a later afternoon game drive, when the animals are often at their most active.

Between the wildlife viewing sessions, you can relax at your Amboseli lodge or camp. They will provide meals and other activities to enhance your stay.

As always, your safari vehicle and driver/guide are at your disposal for even more game viewing drives, should you wish to maximize your time in the park.

Day 03 :

Amboseli – Lake Naivasha (340 km: Approx. 6 hrs)

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Proceed to the Lake Naivasha at the floors of the Great Rift Valley.

Arrive at the Lake Naivasha in time for lunch.

Afternoon boat safari at the Lake Naivasha where you view exotic birdlife and hippos amid the serenity of this freshwater rift valley lake.

Later proceed for a guided walking safari at the Crescent Island. Overnight at your chosen Lake Naivasha safari lodge / tented camp.

Day 04 :

Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru National Park (70km: 2 hrs)

(Option: We may visit Lake Bogoria instead if you are more keen on spectacular flamingo viewing.)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

We shall start our day by hiring bicycles and cycling to the nearby Hell’s Gate National Park, where you can explore this unique canyon landscape on foot while spotting small game such as giraffe, zebra, and various antelopes that roam freely.

Later, a short 1-hour drive will take us to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Birdlife abounds at Lake Nakuru, with flamingos often seen in their thousands (seasonal), together with graceful pelicans and numerous other bird species, making it a birdwatcher's paradise.

Lake Nakuru National Park is also a vital sanctuary and home to both black and white rhino species, offering excellent opportunities for sightings. Additionally, you'll encounter warthogs, lions, zebras, giraffe, and many more fascinating animals within its diverse habitats.

Day 05 :

Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve (300 km: Approx. 6 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

We'll begin our day with an early bird and game viewing drive as we exit Lake Nakuru National Park, maximizing our last opportunities to spot wildlife and enjoy the morning serenity before departing.

After breakfast, we will proceed to the world-renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve, embarking on a journey that will take us through the scenic Rift Valley.

We aim to arrive at Masai Mara in time for an exhilarating afternoon game viewing drive. This will be your first immersive experience in the vast plains and abundant wildlife for which the Mara is so famous.

Overnight shall be at your chosen Masai Mara safari lodge or tented camp, where you can settle in and begin to experience the magic of this incredible wilderness.

Day 06 :

Full Day – Masai Mara Game Reserve: Unlimited Wildlife Extravaganza

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Today shall be a game viewing extravaganza! Masai Mara Game Reserve remains the most exciting wildlife ecosystem in the Natural World. It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region, truly an unparalleled safari destination. While smaller in size compared to some other major parks like Serengeti or Tsavo, its wildlife density, particularly for large predators, is exceptionally high.

The scenic appeal of the tree-studded savannah plains, the moderate climate, and the sheer diversity of wild game species makes it a one-stop shop for exceptional game viewing activities.

We shall traverse the Masai Mara reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing, encountering the legendary Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) and a wealth of lesser game, including a high density of cheetah. Sightings are very common in this park, so you're sure to be active and engaged throughout our drives.

We shall visit the Mara River, famous as the site of numerous hippos and crocodiles. If your visit aligns with the period of July through October, you may witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration – a stunning influx of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles making their dramatic crossings of the river in a timeless cycle of birth, death, and renewal. This spectacle also draws an intensified presence of predators, making for incredibly dramatic encounters.

We can arrange for a visit to the local Maasai people, allowing you to see their traditional village and learn about their rich culture and lifestyle. This is also a wonderful opportunity to acquire some of their colorful beaded handiwork.
For a truly unforgettable perspective, consider a hot air balloon safari. This pre-dawn adventure allows you to float silently over the vast plains as the sun rises, watching the wildlife stirring below. Your driver/guide will be happy to make all the arrangements for this unique experience.

Day 07 :

Masai Mara – Nairobi: Safari Conclusion & Departure (265km: Approx. 5 hrs)

Meal plan: Breakfast.

After a leisurely breakfast at your lodge/camp, your dedicated driver-guide will assist you with the checkout process and proceed to Nairobi – Kenya’s vibrant capital city.

On the way, your guide will point out the impressive Longonot extinct volcano, a stratovolcano located southeast of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya. It is thought to have last erupted in the 1860s, and its name is derived from the Maasai word Oloonong’ot, meaning “mountains of many spurs” or “steep ridges.”

You have flexible options for your return:

You can opt to drive via Naivasha for lunch/excursions (at an extra cost).
Alternatively, drive straight to Nairobi and pass by Kiambethu Farm for the tea farm tour, inclusive of a three-course buffet lunch (at an extra cost).
OR, drive straight back to the capital and later transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) for your flight back home.

We will comfortably drop you off at your Nairobi hotel or Nairobi airport, concluding your unforgettable safari adventure.
