Nyikana Tarangire Camp

Nyikana Tarangire Camp offers a luxury and elegant stay in Tanzania’s Tarangire National Park, its location near the winding Tarangire River adding to the overall tranquility of the experience. Guests are met by friendly staff and immediately feel the warmth of the Camp as the large, crackling fire pit welcomes them in. The main tented area has a colorful sitting area, splashes of teal, yellow, and purple displayed in furniture, cushions, and art, popping against the neutral canvas walls and ceiling.

 

There is a small bar set up serving a great selection of quality wines and popular beers, and the dining area has individual wooden tables and chairs set with a colorful runner. Meals are delicious, exceptional cuisine being served by talented chefs who present a menu of international and local flavors. Guests can relax under the shade of Acacia trees or in the privacy of their tent and activities include game drives, nature walks, and cultural encounters.

    Nyikani Tarangire Camp is located in Tanzania’s Tarangire National Park, a five-minute transfer from nearby Kuro Airstrip. Guests can enjoy a 20-minute flight from Arusha to the airstrip or if they prefer to drive, the journey will take around two and a half hours from Arusha.

  • Rooms / Tents

    There are 13 luxury safari tents privately set up in pristine wilderness at Nyikana Tarangire Camp. There are 12 Standard Tents and one Family Tent that comprises two bedrooms, and all tents have a furnished verandah for guests to relax amid the wonderful surrounding bush. Inside there is either one double bed or two single beds, crisp linens on the bed covered with African print throws. The yellow and teal color scheme is continued in the accommodation with chairs and cushions breaking the neutral canvas tones. There is a writing desk and chair, a small sitting area with a sofa, and an area to hang clothing. Guests are presented with tea or coffee in the early morning and room service is on offer during their stay. There is a digital safe for guests to store their valuables and communication with the main tent is done through a two-way radio which is provided in each guest tent. Bathrooms are en-suite with a toilet, vanity, and a bucket shower that will be filled at the guests’ request.
