Mombasa – Tsavo East

Start your safari adventure with an early pick-up from your Diani Beach area resort. You’ll be transferred to Mombasa, crossing the iconic Likoni ferry, then continue inland along the scenic Mombasa–Nairobi highway toward Tsavo East National Park.
Upon arrival at the southern entry gate of Tsavo East, take a brief refreshment break before setting out on your first game viewing drive. Your experienced safari driver/guide will lead you through the park’s rugged landscape, helping you spot majestic elephants, lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, buffalos, dik-dik gazelles, and many more fascinating species.
After a mid-day rest to freshen up and relax, prepare for an afternoon game drive when the wildlife becomes more active in the cooler hours. Traverse the stunning Tsavo East savannah as your guide points out wildlife and shares insights about the park’s unique ecosystem.
As the day draws to a close, watch the breathtaking African sunset paint the sky as you return to your lodge or tented camp to unwind for the evening.

Day 02 :

Tsavo East – Amboseli
Distance: 300 km | Approximate Driving Time: 5 hours

Begin your day with an early departure from Tsavo East as you journey toward Amboseli National Park, known for its spectacular wildlife and iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
By mid-day, you’ll arrive at Amboseli, nestled at the foot of Africa’s highest peak. After settling in, enjoy a late afternoon game drive, where spotting animals is often effortless thanks to the park’s open plains and diverse habitats.
Amboseli’s majestic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro creates breathtaking photo opportunities for both amateur and professional photographers alike.
Relax and spend the night at your chosen Amboseli lodge or tented camp, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wild.

Wildlife You May Encounter at Amboseli National Park:

Day 03 :

Amboseli – Lake Naivasha

Distance: 340 km | Approximate Driving Time: 7 hours

Rise early once again to catch a dramatic sunrise over Mount Kilimanjaro—weather permitting—as you prepare to leave Amboseli National Park. Enjoy a final game drive en route out of the park, savoring those last glimpses of wildlife.

From there, journey towards the scenic Great Rift Valley, making a lunch stop in Nairobi to refresh and refuel.

Continue on to Lake Naivasha, a stunning freshwater lake surrounded by vibrant wildlife and lush vegetation. In the afternoon, embark on a relaxing boat ride to explore the lake and spot hippos, water birds, and giraffes grazing along the shore.

Spend the night at your chosen lodge or hotel by Lake Naivasha, immersed in the tranquil beauty of the Rift Valley.

Day 04 :

Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru

Distance: 80 km | Approximate Driving Time: 1.5 hours

Begin the day with a unique adventure as you hire bicycles and cycle to the nearby Hell’s Gate National Park. Explore the stunning canyon on foot, spotting small game and taking in the impressive geological formations and scenic landscapes.

Afterwards, enjoy a short drive of about one hour to Lake Nakuru National Park.

At Lake Nakuru, prepare to be amazed by the abundant birdlife, including flocks of vibrant flamingos, pelicans, and many other species. The park is also famous for its black and white rhinos, as well as warthogs, lions, zebras, giraffes, and much more.

Spend the night at your chosen safari lodge or tented camp near Lake Nakuru, surrounded by the park’s natural beauty.

Day 05 :

Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

Distance: 290 km | Approximate Driving Time: 6 hours

Start early with a morning game viewing drive as you exit Lake Nakuru National Park, enjoying one last chance to spot wildlife in this beautiful environment.

Then, proceed on your journey to the iconic Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Arrive in the Masai Mara by mid-afternoon and embark on your first game drive in this world-famous wildlife sanctuary.

Spend the night at your chosen Masai Mara safari lodge or tented camp, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 06 :

Full Day – Masai Mara

Prepare for a thrilling day of unlimited game viewing in one of the most spectacular wildlife ecosystems on the planet.

The Masai Mara Game Reserve boasts the highest and most diverse concentration of wild animals in the region. Its stunning tree-studded savannah plains, moderate climate, and incredible variety of wildlife make it the ultimate destination for safari enthusiasts.

Today, we will explore the vast Masai Mara, seeking out the iconic Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino — alongside numerous other fascinating species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch by the Mara River, where you can watch hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat. During the great migration season (July to October), you might even witness the breathtaking crossing of thousands of wildebeest and zebras.

Overnight stay at your Masai Mara safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 07 :

Masai Mara – Nairobi (260 km, Approx. 6 hrs)

Start your day with an early pre-breakfast game drive to catch a final glimpse of the wildlife in the Masai Mara.

After breakfast, depart the reserve with an exit game viewing drive, soaking in the last moments of the wilderness.

Continue the journey to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon.

You will then be transferred to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.

Flight details:

Depart Nairobi at 18:30 hrs for Mombasa
Arrive Mombasa airport at 19:30 hrs

Upon arrival in Mombasa, you will be met and transferred back to your resort in the Diani Beach area.

Alternatively, you may opt to take the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) for the Nairobi–Mombasa return journey, offering a scenic and comfortable travel experience.
