Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your Diani Beach hotel or resort. We'll head north through Mombasa, crossing the Likoni Ferry into the mainland, where your inland journey begins.
Travel along the scenic Mombasa-Nairobi highway, enjoying refreshment stops along the way as the landscape transitions from coastal palms to rugged bushveld.
By late morning, you'll arrive at the gates of Tsavo West National Park, a dramatic wilderness of ancient volcanic cones, lava flows, rocky outcrops, and sweeping savannahs. Your first game drive begins as you enter the park—get your cameras ready!
In the mid-afternoon, we’ll visit the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, a protected area dedicated to the conservation of the endangered black rhino. With some luck and patience, you may spot one of these elusive giants among the acacia thickets.

The day begins at sunrise with a morning game drive, when wildlife is most active and the golden light enhances the beauty of the rugged Tsavo landscape.
We'll make our way to the Mzima Springs, a lush oasis fed by underground streams from Chyulu Hills. Enjoy a guided walking safari around these crystal-clear pools, home to hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish, and an abundance of birdlife—both migratory and resident. The underwater viewing chamber offers a unique perspective on the aquatic life.
After soaking in the serenity of Mzima Springs, we journey south along scenic gravel tracks to the legendary Amboseli National Park—a 2.5-hour drive through dramatic terrain.
Upon arrival, settle into your lodge or tented camp and enjoy a relaxed lunch. The early afternoon is yours to unwind before the day’s highlight: an afternoon game drive through Amboseli’s open plains.
Despite its compact size, Amboseli offers exceptional wildlife viewing, made easier by its sparse vegetation. The park is famous for its vast herds of free-ranging elephants, often seen up close against the backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak.

We’ll start with an early morning game drive, a golden hour of activity when the wildlife is on the move and, if the weather permits, Mount Kilimanjaro may reveal its snow-draped summit—an unforgettable sight framed by acacia trees and roaming herds.
Return for a hearty breakfast, followed by a mid-morning game drive, where you'll track wildlife across the park’s dusty plains, marshes, and seasonal lakes. Amboseli’s diverse habitats attract an array of species, including lions, cheetahs, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, and of course, its famous elephants.
After lunch at your lodge or tented camp, take time to unwind, enjoy the amenities, or simply absorb the tranquil rhythm of the African bush from your veranda.
As the day cools, we’ll set out again for an afternoon game drive. The softening light paints the park in warm tones, creating the perfect backdrop for photography and reflection. The sight of elephants silhouetted against Kilimanjaro in the golden glow is the very definition of an African safari.

Awaken at dawn in Amboseli National Park, where the first light often reveals breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro’s majestic snow-capped peak—weather permitting.
Enjoy a morning game drive as the park comes alive, soaking in the last moments among the herds of elephants and other wildlife. After a hearty breakfast, we’ll bid farewell to Amboseli and begin our journey back toward the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.
The drive to Tsavo East National Park traverses varied landscapes, transitioning from the volcanic foothills of Amboseli to the expansive savanna plains of Tsavo East. Along the way, your driver/guide will share insights into the rich ecology and history of the region.
Arriving at Tsavo East in the afternoon, you’ll embark on a relaxed game drive through this vast wilderness. Here, the pace slows, allowing you to fully absorb the serenity and grandeur of the open savanna. Your guide will point out distinctive animals and narrate their behaviors and natural history, deepening your connection to this incredible environment.
As the sun sets over the dusty plains, watch for the legendary red elephants—whose coats blend with the earth—and the elusive big cats, rhinos, and many other species that call Tsavo East home.

Enjoy the gentle rhythms of the wilderness as we explore the plains, spotting the remarkable animals that roam freely in this iconic park.

For lunch, we’ll stop at a charming open-air restaurant with stunning views over the Tsavo East plains — a perfect spot to savor your meal and soak in the beauty of the landscape one last time.

After lunch, a leisurely drive will take us back to the Kenyan coast. The journey offers a peaceful transition from wild savanna to the inviting shores of the Indian Ocean.
