Day 1: Diani Beach – Tsavo East National Park

Leaving your beach resort early, you’ll cross the Likoni Ferry and travel along the scenic Mombasa-Nairobi highway. In about three hours, you’ll arrive at the southern entrance to Tsavo East National Park, where the iconic red clay soil and vast wilderness mark the start of your safari.
Begin your afternoon game drives focusing on the abundant wildlife that calls Tsavo home. Look out for lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, elephants, impalas, zebras, and over 500 species of birds. You’ll visit notable spots like Mudanda Rock and Aruba Dam — popular watering holes teeming with wildlife.
Spend your first night immersed in the wilderness at your chosen safari lodge or tented camp inside the park.

Day 2: Tsavo East – Amboseli National Park
Distance: Approx. 180 km | Driving Time: About 4 hours
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Rise early for a final Tsavo East game drive, savoring the quiet beauty of dawn and the thrill of early wildlife encounters. After breakfast, depart Tsavo East and journey toward Amboseli National Park, famous for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak.
Arrive at Amboseli for lunch and some relaxation before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Amboseli’s open plains offer some of the best elephant viewing on the continent, alongside lion, cheetah, Maasai giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, and more than 300 bird species.
Optionally, you can arrange a visit to a traditional Maasai village nearby, to meet the Maasai people and learn about their rich culture and herding lifestyle.
Spend the night at your preferred lodge or camp in Amboseli.

Day 3: Amboseli – Diani Beach
Distance: Approx. 350 km | Driving Time: About 6–7 hours
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch
Enjoy an early breakfast with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting), followed by a morning game drive to soak in the last glimpses of Amboseli’s wildlife.
Later, begin your return journey to the Kenyan coast, arriving back at your Diani Beach or South Coast resort in the late afternoon or early evening.

Day 01 :

Daily Itinerary

DIANI – TSAVO EAST

Distance: 150 km | Approximate Drive Time: 3 to 3.5 hours

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your Diani Beach or South Coast location. From here, you’ll cross the iconic Likoni Ferry in Mombasa, then embark on a scenic drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.

After approximately three and a half hours and 150 kilometers, you’ll arrive at the southern entrance of Tsavo East National Park. Here, a brief stop at the park gate allows for refreshments (payable on site) before commencing your thrilling game viewing drives.

As you enter the park, your experienced safari driver and guide will lead you through the vast wilderness in search of incredible wildlife including elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, cheetahs, antelopes, kudu, ostriches, and much more.

After a morning of discovery, you’ll return to your lodge or camp to relax and recharge. Later in the afternoon, when the midday heat begins to fade, you’ll head back out for another exciting game drive. This is when the park truly comes alive, with wildlife becoming more active as the golden hues of the African sunset paint the savanna.

As you marvel at the stunning scenery and observe animals on the move, your guide will expertly navigate the park’s trails before escorting you back to your lodge or tented camp for an overnight stay.

Day 02 :

TSAVO EAST – AMBOSELI

Distance: 320 km | Approximate Drive Time: 5 to 6 hours

Begin your day early with a hearty breakfast before setting off on a scenic journey to Amboseli National Park. Before leaving Tsavo East, enjoy a short morning game drive to catch any last glimpses of wildlife in this expansive reserve.

As you arrive in Amboseli, settle into your safari lodge or tented camp, where you can freshen up and relax before heading out for your first game viewing drive in this iconic park.

Amboseli is known for its open, compact landscapes, making it easier to spot wildlife, especially the majestic free-ranging elephants the park is famous for. The awe-inspiring backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro—Africa’s highest peak—adds a spectacular element to every photo and moment.

Spend the afternoon exploring the park’s rich biodiversity, searching for lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and over 300 bird species.

Whatever you may have missed in Tsavo East, Amboseli offers new and unforgettable wildlife experiences.

Return to your lodge or tented camp for a restful evening surrounded by nature.

Day 03 :

AMBOSELI – DIANI

Distance: 515 km | Approximate Drive Time: 7 to 8 hours (including lunch stop)

Rise early to witness the breathtaking African sunrise, with the majestic peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro gradually emerging from the clouds—weather permitting—a truly unforgettable start to your day.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast while soaking in these stunning views.

Soon after, embark on a short morning game drive as you exit Amboseli National Park, savoring a final chance to spot wildlife before the journey back to the Kenyan coast.

The drive takes you back to Diani Beach and the South Coast, with a comfortable lunch stop along the way.

Arrive in Diani in the late afternoon or early evening, where you’ll be dropped off at your beach resort or preferred location—bringing your memorable safari adventure to a close.
